Today, I was really astonished by our discussion in my major course, Developmental Psychology. It was about why death is inevitable and is truly a part of the human cycle. As an adolescent, life has still so much to offer for me. As of the moment, death is considered negligible for me. This is for the reason that my thoughts is so preoccupied with the pleasures and struggles that this life is handing over me. But it is necessary for me to think about it sometimes, because life is just too short after all. The ideas that Dr. Maranda have shared to the class made us think about how we should live our lives significantly. It didn't give me the fear of facing death, rather it have given me the strength to face reality as it is. It made me more interested to the field that I am in right now. It really talks about life and the transitions that goes along with it. Every single day is an another milestone to be pursued by us, but we must keep it in mind that no matter how much time we have, still the notion of losing most of it lies at the end. That is why we should live each day as if it is our last day. Through this, we will be making the most out of it, and time can't be wasted. To quote it from Dr. Maranda, "we only live once, but if we live it right , then once is enough".
The question that remained a doubt throughout time is "what is it to live for, when all of us would eventually die?"

It is really a matter of how one views his own life and to sum up all the fragments of it as a whole.
